Message from Dr. Simmardeep Singh Gill

Touching the 30-year milestone is a momentous occasion for our organisation. This is not only a testament to our three decades of service to the city of Kolkata but also the state of Bengal, pan India and neighbouring countries. The BM Birla Heart Research Centre was laid on the foundations of late BM Birla’s vision for providing super speciality cardiac care to the city of Kolkata. Most doctors, whom we consider assets of our hospital, have been around since its inception, and that speaks volumes about the trust and credibility the organisation offers. I would like to take this opportunity to extend my heartfelt gratitude to clinicians, nurses and support staff for their contribution towards consolidating the reputation of the hospital and look forward to achieving many more milestones together. Over the years, patients have trusted us with health —their most important possession, and their blessings, support and advice would be integral to our journey in days ahead.

The exclusivity of BM Birla Heart Research Centre lies in the fact that it is the only hospital offering super speciality cardiac care in pretty much the whole of India. Helmed by clinicians and support staff who are trained to attend critical needs of cardiology and cardiac surgery, the hospital has made a mark with its singular focus on the treatment of a wide variety of heart hazards. This makes it convenient for patients to approach us, assuming they would be in safe hands. My vision in days ahead would be to see BM Birla Heart Research Centre scale new heights as the numero uno cardiac care hospital in India. To realise this goal, our focus in future would entail making treatment more affordable to people from all strata of the society, introducing the latest technology and revamping our functions with novel skill sets.
